Day four ( of 8 day trip).
I remembered that Saturday morning, weather looks quite gloomy. The sun wasn’t shining as bright as we hope for, but we still went ahead with our plan to - Sea World. It did finally rain tho’ for awhile, drizzling more like it, and yes, it gets even colder, yet still bearable .
Mia had a little mishap – she got stumble on a cracked pavement and fell. Cried her lungs out, scratches on her knees and had a small cut on her chin. I think that hurts her most.Poor girl. It did spoiled her mood for a while, until she saw the Big Bird ride! Had our packed lunch by the lake overlooking the pirate’s show, that was nice.
We did quite a bit walking here, checking out the dolphin shows and others. It was fun to see ‘em dolphins in actions – cool show indeed. Saw Penguins too, such a cute creature! and many more sea animals & birds in this park. Before ending our day, we took the monorail ride touring around the whole sea world theme park.

She looks so grown up here! With her friend Kasih (left) and Humairah. It was held last Sunday in an indoor hall nearby PJ area. Yes it was done indoor. I’m glad tho’ because of 1 – baby Mike ,who btw just cannot tahan w extreme hotness, and 2. it’s hard no? to forecast Malaysia weather. True enough, it rained cats and dogs that evening! But all in all, Mia had fun! Well she did cried once during a march pass, because her partner (a boy) wont hold her hand.HAHA

We departed from LCCT on May 25th, with my husband, Mia and baby Mike. This holiday was also accompanied with my brother, his wife and his baby girl, Sarah. Arrived in GC on a beauuuutiful Wednesday morning, to a breezy cold wind (18 °C). Good thing this time of the year, it’s winter in the land of Oz, so we’re pretty happy w it. weee..sejuk.
On our flight to GC, we didn’t quite get much eyes shut- Mia was a bit wee whiny not getting enough space (read: lie down) to sleep *sigh.but luckily, there’s a two empty seats in front of us, so I (and lil Mikey) moved and left Ted with Mia. Mike on the other hand was alright, he pretty much happy snuggling under my arms.
Day 1. Since we didn’t get much rest on flight, we took a power nap the moment we step into our apartment* (which btw was neat!and cosy!) . By 12 noon, we’re up and awake and excited to explore gold coast. Good thing Ted make arrangement on car rental*, so the guy sent the car to our place and by 1pm we’re on our way to Harbour Town. Kids, still knock out in the car LOL.

Can I just say I LOVE HT! Totally a shopping paradise. There’s lotsa shops to shops and stuffs to drools over there. But since it was only day one, so I refrain myself from getting much ‘damages’. The only setback was shops closed at 5pm. It gets pretty dark by that time too. We then head back to do a bit more jalan-jalan along Cavill Avenue to find our dinner (we had nandos! which for me doesn’t taste as good as ours).
By 10 pm, all of us were worn out and call it a day.
to be continue…

Bought this chalkpaint here in our local store. Words could not describe how thrill I was to found it. Me and chalk – obssess! heh.. Anyhow, too bad those black paint are sold out, so am left with green and some other colors (red, yellow and blue). But I pick green, looks more ..chalky right. Anyhow, here’s what I’ve come up with last weekends. Since I don’t dare yet to paint on any of my wall, am giving my first try on my old noticeboard. And it turns out GREAT!

To enliven the blah wood frame, I decor the it with my masking tape. Love it!
Now that am more confident, I shall try to pick a wall or..a table? to paint it. The possibillities having this chalk paint is endless!

Couple months back, Nadia told me she has this idea of throwing a Lego theme party for her boy. I was ecstatic with her idea. Couldn’t agree more it is a great theme for boys! She requested a favor from me, to sew party bags for the kids, which I am more than happy to help. Since the theme was lego, I try my best to achieve the lego blocks to look 3D-ish. Here’s my first ‘prototype’.

But here’s the end results for the party. The bags was filled with Nadia’s creative handmade memory games (consists of cute pictures of trucks, bus, etc) {love it!}, pencils and chocolate.

Few days before Irfan’s party, I find myself quite free and so I quickly cut + sew a party garland for him. Glad it turns out just as I imagine it to be and most importantly the host was happy to decor it too. Nothing beats a happy satisfied friend
.

Thanks again Nadia for having us! Mia + even lil Mike had tons of fun at the party.
More pics at Ted’s and party story at Nadia’s . I’ll upload mine in flickr soonish.
